Tony Mathews, MD, MPH

DABCL, DABOM

I’m Dr. Tony Mathews, and I believe in a proactive and multi-pronged approach to health. I specialize in optimizing cardiovascular and metabolic health, with a focus on preventing chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease. Preventing these conditions has been a long-standing interest of mine, leading me to pursue extensive training in Endocrinology, Preventive Cardiology, and Obesity Medicine. This, combined with over a decade of experience caring for patients, allows me to expertly address the complex interplay of risk factors and develop personalized plans that encompass nutrition, physical activity, mental health, sleep, and stress management, while optimizing medication use. My ultimate goal is to help you achieve optimal health, so you can enjoy a longer, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

When I’m not caring for patients, I cherish spending time with my wife and 3-year-old daughter, creating new memories together. I’m also an avid chess and poker player and a passionate fan of New York sports teams.
